University of Delaware Student Wins $1000 in Kimmel Carter Half-Court Shot Contest

Congratulations to University of Delaware senior Alexa Gross, the latest winner of our UD Men’s Basketball half-court shot contest.

During each of a series of home games sponsored by Kimmel Carter this basketball season, four UD students were randomly selected for a chance at a half-court shot and a $1000 check from the firm. An early education major, Alexa was one of the students chosen to attempt the shot during the Blue Hens' winning game against Drexel on February 11.

Alexa was only student to successfully make the shot throughout the season, though a few other contestants came close.

Kimmel Carter was proud to support UD Men’s Basketball again this season. Thanks to all of the students who participated in our contest and to the University of Delaware athletics staff for making our sponsorship such a terrific experience. Congratulations again, Alexa!
