Delaware Super Lawyers

Congratulations to Kimmel Carter Managing Partner Lawrance Kimmel and Partner Jonathan O’Neill, who have recently been selected to the 2015 Delaware Super Lawyers® Rising Stars list in the personal injury – plaintiff category.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Larry and Jon have been named to the list. Inclusion is a highly selective honor, bestowed upon only 2.5% of attorneys in the state.

Before they are selected, lawyers go through a process that includes peer nominations, independent research into 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, and a peer evaluation process.

Known for their extensive legal knowledge, their skill in the courtroom and their strong rapport with clients, Larry and Jon are highly regarded in Delaware by their legal peers and clients alike. Their practices are focused on personal injury, nursing home neglect, workers’ compensation, wrongful death, and car accidents, as well as truck accidents and motorcycle accidents.

Over the course of their careers, Larry and Jon have received numerous professional awards and honors. Larry has received an AV Preeminent peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating given by the organization, as well as the Delaware State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Distinguished Service Award for 2014. In December, 2014, Jon was included in Delaware Today’s Top Lawyers issue, and Larry and Jon have both been included in the National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 100.

They are also both highly involved in the Delaware legal community. Larry is the past chair of the Delaware State Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation section and the immediate past president of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association (DTLA), and Jon is the current Vice President of the DTLA.
